Who are we?

our whakataukī

WHĀNGAIHIA KIA TIPU, KIA PUĀWAI

That which is nurtured, blossoms and grows

Our approach is guided by our whakataukī (proverb)

OUR whakapapA

We are an indigenous-owned and operated organisation established in 2017. The word Manawaroa means a long or tall heart. It also means resilience. We chose this kupu | word as the name of our organisation because it reflects one of our primary drivers, which is to support the wellbeing of all Tāngata Tiriti (non-indigenous people of this land) and Tāngata Whenua (indigenous people of this land).
